CAT DMC began as a small European incoming tour operator in Peru in 1997. Pioneering on the travel renaissance in Peru of those years, CAT DMC steadily grew into a solid destination management partner for travel companies worldwide. During the years that followed, the company expanded through the Latin American continent, incorporating a multi-cultural group of travel professionals from both sides of the Atlantic. The eventual evolution into the Meeting & Incentives and Online Booking markets was dictated by the rapid and diversified growth of the company in the Latin American travel industry. Growing interest in Latin America as a travel destination nourished further development of CAT DMC’s business units, expanding to meet the evolving needs of the market. Eventually the idea for a single holding travel company developed into Global Encounters, an all-round travel solutions provider with offices across Latin America.
