There are different ways to experience Antarctic. The type of ship, its size and the number of passengers determine much of what you will see on the White Continent. It may range from a luxury cruise to an adventurous sailing boat. A big cruise that carries more than 120 passengers will probably be very comfortable and provide excellent on board facilities, such as private bathrooms, central heating and informative conferences on wild marine life and geography. However, it may not be able to sail through narrow channels or offer zodiac outings and landings, due to its size and the number of passengers that should step off the ship. On the other hand, smaller ships will offer a more adventurous program, with frequent outings and a more flexible route, which is easier to change in case weather and sailing conditions are not adequate and the original schedule should be modified.
