Peru - Lima
More than 400 years ago, the Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro named Lima the City of Kings ("Ciudad de los Reyes"). Today, the city is a metropolis of over 7 million people where your group will have the chance to admire the proudly preserved colonial architecture and take in the bustling atmosphere of Peru's capital city. A visit to Lima holds many possibilities, from dining in historical convents over 200 years old, to enjoying the best local seafood, or strolling through traditional markets in search of unique handmade Peruvian jewels, llama wool clothing or local crafts. Lima is an ideal location for incentive groups to experience the old and the new of Peru's unique culture at its best.
Best time to go
Lima, with a mild climate of neither heavy rain nor intense cold, can be visited quite easily at any time of the year.
Climate
Lima’s weather is very temperate due to its proximity to the equator. Winters in Lima can be quite grey as a result of the humid climate. Through most of winter Lima is covered in a layer of clouds and light drizzle can be frequent; average temperatures are around 15° C. The summer months of December to March tend to be sunny and temperatures average around 22° C, though they can get as high as 27°C.
